Sawako's Diary : Cheerful Childe in the Firstgrade

Busy Morning

I get up when my alarm rings. Then I wash my face and quickly eat my breakfast, before my grandma does my hair.

Today's breakfast consists of rice, miso-soup, an omelette, a salad and a glass of milk.

My knapsack ,or "randoseru" in japanese ,was given to me by my grandparents, who lived in Nagano prefecture. Thank you for the lovely present.

I go to school with friends from my neighbourhood.We leave at 7:30 am and it takes about 20 minutes to get to school.

Today, a dog called May has joined us.

Our School : Shiishiba Elementary School

Our school was built this April, so it is very tremendous.

The school is especially proud of this hall, from the window we can see Tone river.

This is our headmaster. He told us a very funny story at assembly, this morning. Here is very cute notice board.I am looking forward to reading it every month. I do not know who makes this notice board.

A lesson with fathers

Today, we had a lesson with our fathers.My father and my friends fathers came to our class to see us.

We made scarecrows in the likeness of "sailor-moon" with our fathers.We think that they are very good. We are going to put them in the rice field to prevent the sparrows stealing the rice.

After school

I came home with my best friend, Shoko-chan, every day.

Once I was home, I went to the creek near my house.There I caugth many crayfishes, loaches, and pond snails.
